Secret Trip Transit – Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Maldives to Singapore, Singapore

Chris and I departed from the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island by Trans Maldivian Airways seaplane. Upon arrival at the Male International Airport, the Conrad representation escorted us through airport security and obtained our boarding passes from Singapore Airlines before dropping us off at the immigration checkpoint.

As we were flying Singapore Airlines Business class, we received access to the Leeli Lounge at the Male International Airport. The lounge offered a variety of hot food items, desserts, and cold drinks. We enjoyed a light snack in the lounge before our boarding our flight. I was tempted to try the curry flavored instant cup noodles, but decided against it once I remembered that we were having lunch on our flight.

We boarded a shuttle bus from the airport terminal gate to the plane entrance. We arrived on the tarmac and walked up the covered stairway onto the plane. We both had champagne as our welcome drink before take off. We were provided lunch, which consisted of canapés, salad, main course, fruit and cheese, and dessert. We were offered slippers and eyeshades in case we wanted to sleep. Since the flight was only four hours, Chris and I chose to watch San Andreas and a few television shows instead. Prior to landing, we were provided glasses of apple and orange juice.

Our lunch ended up really being dinner since we departed Male in the afternoon and did not arrive in Singapore until night. Upon arrival in Singapore Changi Airport, we made our way to the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), purchased tickets (which only accepted cash), and were on our way to our hotel into the city for beauty rest before continuing our adventures!
