My siblings spent the last full day in Hong Kong with me and Chris at Ocean Park while my parents went to visit relatives and friends around the city. We had known about Ocean Park from our years of watching Chinese television dramas, and wanted to see whether the amusement park was accurately portrayed in the shows.

From our hotel, we took the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) to Admiralty Station, where we boarded the 629 double-decker bus to Ocean Park.
Ocean Park is a large park that offers amusement rides, ocean life, and animal habitats, just to name a few attractions. The park is divided between the Waterfront and the Summit, which is connected by Cable Car or Ocean Express Train. We arrived at the park and headed straight to Old Hong Kong to board the cable cars from the Waterfront to the Summit (where most of the rides are located). The cable cars had close to an hour wait in the afternoon, and we chose to return to the Waterfront via Ocean Express.
The waits for the attractions were short (likely since we visited the park on Thursday). We did not wait more than 10 minutes for any rides and were able to ride everything that we wanted.
Ocean Park Hong Kong offers a variety of exhibits and shows featuring animals from around the world. We cooled off in the indoor air conditioned exhibits, and rested our legs during the seated outdoors Ocean Wonders show.
Throughout the day, we purchased lunch and snacks from nearby stands. Many stands offered Korean Grilled Squid, which we found was similar in flavor to the shredded squid snacks from Asian grocery stores but was much juicier. We ordered a variety of rice and noodle dishes for lunch and had a couple ice cream cones in the afternoon to battle the humid heat.
