Chris and I reunited with my family (who had been traveling in Japan and Taiwan) part way through our visit to Hong Kong when we switched from Tsim Sha Tsui to the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong hotel.

Chris was able to use the Hyatt Diamond Guest of Honor benefit to make additional room reservations that provided Diamond benefits for my family’s stay, which included access to the Grand Club Lounge.
The Guest of Honor rooms on the 27th floor did not seem to be upgraded and had gold-hued décor. Chris upgraded for our room to a Grand Suite on the 24th floor, which was recently renovated with dark wood and neutral color furnishings. The suite had a living room with round coffee table, square dining table, and flat screen television. The king bedroom had an adjoining master bathroom with a large square soaking tub and rain shower. The toilet was located in a separate room off the entrance hallway hidden by a discrete door. Both the living room and bedroom provided panoramic views of Victoria Harbour. We were pleasantly surprised to be provided with a complimentary smartphone, including unlimited cellular and data services, available for the length of the hotel stay, for each of the three rooms.
As a Hyatt Diamond Member (and Guest of Honors), we received access to the Grand Club reception on the 30th floor and the Grand Club on the 31st floor, which offered complimentary breakfast (7:00 AM – 10:30 AM), evening cocktails (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM), and all day tea, coffee, juices, beer, and wine from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM.
We had the option of breakfast in Grand Café on the lobby floor rather than the Grand Club on the 31st floor. The Grand Café had a wider selection of breakfast items, but we found the dining room to be crowded due to multiple conferences taking place at the hotel and the nearby convention center. We much preferred the atmosphere at the Grand Club.
My family and I are going to miss this amazing view of Victoria Harbour from the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong hotel.
