Chris replaced the two nights originally in Bangkok, Thailand with additional time in Hong Kong and applied a Diamond suite upgrade for a couple nights at Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui.

The hotel is centrally located and transportation was convenient from Hong Kong International Airport through Airport Express (complimentary K3 Airport Express shuttle bus service transfers passengers directly from Kowloon Station to Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui).
We checked into the hotel at the Regency Club located on the 23rd floor and were provided a Regency Suite, consisting of a king bedroom, adjacent master bath with rain shower and separate tub, and living room area. We received welcome fruit and wine in the room upon arrival. The best feature was the complimentary smartphone, including unlimited cellular and data services, available for the length of the hotel stay.
As a Hyatt Diamond Member, we received access to the Regency Club on the 23rd floor, which offered complimentary breakfast (6:30 AM – 10:30 AM), evening cocktails (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM), and all day tea, coffee, and soft drinks.
The hotel offered an outdoor heated swimming pool. Chris and I took the hotel elevator to the 9th floor and took a flight of stairs down one level. Access to the pool (part of Residence Club) was through a “fire door to be kept closed” that was prompted open, and appeared to require additional registration procedures for hotel guests. The set up seemed odd, so we opted to use the 24-hour fitness center on the 10th floor instead. The fitness center was well equipped with water, towels, headphones, yoga mats, resistance cords, and jump ropes. Equipment consisted of weight, treadmill, elliptical, flexibility machines. We thought we should try to work off a bit of the food that we have been eating on Secret Trip!
The remainder of our stay in Destination #9 will be at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong on the other side of Victoria Harbour. Stay tuned for more!
