Upon arrival at the Florence-Peretola Airport, Chris and I purchased tickets on board (6 Euro per person each way) the Vola in Bus that took us from the airport to Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence’s city center. The train station was a short walk to Hotel de la Villa, the boutique hotel where we stayed for two nights.

The hotel was cozy and, most importantly, clean. The key was an actual metal key, which we were asked to deposit with the front desk upon leaving the hotel each day. An extensive breakfast buffet was included for all hotel guests. The hotel was central to the attractions within the city, and was convenient for us to explore the city.
